Sculptra is an incredible agent that can be injected into he skin to reverse the signs of aging. It starts off as a poly-L-lactic acid powder that is mixed with sterile water creating a gel for injection. This is then injected underneath your skin where rejuvenation and volume is needed. Sculptra is one of the oldest technologies in skin boosters that has been clinically proven to create fuller features and smoother skin appearance. Poly-L-lactic acid is a collagen stimulator that absorbs into your body a few days after treatment to encourage your cells to produce more collagen. Collagen is a protein in your skin — as well as in your connective tissues, bones and cartilage — that provides structure, support and strength.
Sculptra can be injected anywhere in the body but is primarily used to treat the face. It is also a hugely popular option for treating the buttock area. In the face, the treatment can add volume over time in the cheeks and temples. Sculptra adds elasticity to the skin overall to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and make the skin more supple. If you suffer with fat loss in the face, sculptra has been used in multiple clinical studies throughout the world and is one of the only technologies to have this regenerative effect.
Sculptra injections of the gluteal area adds volume, reduces thinning of the skin and markedly smooth the appearance of cellulite. Sculptra offers a hugely successful and much safer alternatives to dermal fillers and BBL surgery with long lasting results. Sculptra works on the biology of the skin to slow down aging with added benefits of reversing aging by stimulating multiple biological cascades that wake up the skin to make them behave in a younger way.
Sculptra is a procedure that is relatively straight forward. On the day of the appointment you will be given the option for having topical numbing cream to reduce any minor discomforts you may experience. The Sculptra PPLA powder is mixed with water to activate it and this is then injected in different zones. You can treat the whole face if you so wish in one sitting. Most patients experience some nice results straight away but the most optimal Sculptra results take 2-3 months to show.
After the procedure, the treated area may feel tender and swollen. Once the water solution is absorbed the PLLA elements coat the skin fibres and start to attract cytokines and chemokine to the area. As a result the whole the skin becomes activated and over time new collagen fibres are formed to build volume and scaffold for the skin. Sculptra has one of the longest lasting results of most skin boosters – with some patients seeing its benefits upto 5 years after the treatment course is complete. For better outcomes 1-2 additional sessions maybe advised.
Sculptra was first hailed as a cure for gaunt cheeks in the 80s and 90s as a remarkable treatment for volume loss is patients suffering with AIDS. It rapidly became the gold standard for skin tightening. Doctors and Surgeons around the globe were stunned by its power to plump the skin naturally.
Sculptra remains a hugely popular treatment today for addressing multiple concerns for those wanting natural results.

Sculptra is a skin booster made of PLLA that adds volume and bounce to the skin.
Over the coming weeks and months, the product will begin to revitalise collagen production, improving the skin’s inner structure, creating a youthful-looking appearance.
Mild swelling and bruising can be expected. The area treated might feel a little tender for few hours. There have been some reports of nodule formation under the skin, the risk of this is less than 5% and tends to resolve naturally over time.
To ensure the optimal result and gradual, long-lasting effect of Sculptra, it is important that you comply with the aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner. Aftercare recommendations are as follows:
Massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times per day for 5 days after your treatment, according to your practitioner’s advice. Use moisturising cream to reduce friction when massaging within the first 24 hours after your treatment, apply an ice pack or ice wrapped in a cloth (avoid putting ice directly on your skin) to the treatment area to help reduce swelling. Avoid excessive sun, UV sunlamp exposure and extreme temperatures until swelling and redness have disappeared.
Dr Saleki is the sweetest and most professional Dr ever! I was really nervous and she completely put me at ease for my fox eye thread lift!
I was a bit nervous, Dr Mahsa was lovely, she couldn’t of been more professional and kind. I had nose threads and the procedure was quick and apart from a bit of discomfort with the anaesthetic, the rest was totally pain free. I am 3 days post treatment and still a bit swollen but other than that everything has been very smooth and I feel fine. I’m excited to see the settled results. Would I recommend, 100% yes.
First time I every had any treatment and it was a brilliant experience, The Dr was very Calm and compassionate and clear. I read about a treatment threading but she said I didn’t need it and suggested fillers and fat dissolving which has work for me, definitely go again even though it took me over 2hours to get there.
