Nose Thread Lift have largely become one of the most popular aesthetics treatments at SAS Aesthetics. For those looking for a truly transformative alternative to surgical rhinoplasties this is an incredible option.
Following a consultation with your SAS Aesthetics doctor, this minimally invasive treatment is carried out by inserting ultra-fine lightweight suture threads into the skin via a small cannula. The threads act as an anchor within the skin to lift and reinforce its physical structure. For the nose, threads are used to lift the tip and straighten the bridge simultaneously. This mechanical alteration to the skin overlying the nose will also contract the skin and soft tissue to make the nose appear smaller. This is a more desired technique for those who want to change the shape of their nose without adding too much volume. Suture threads will naturally dissolve over a number of months. Meanwhile, collagen builds around them to form the long-term effect of a taut, uplifted look and feel to the nose.
For those concerned about a droopy nose tip, stronger threads can be used to re-enforce the columella to counter any downward forces specially when smiling to give the nose a sustained appearance. Preventing the tip from drooping or widening during any dynamic changes.
Further to the use of dissolvable suture threads, dermal filler, small doses of botulinum toxin A, or a combination of multiple techniques can work together delicately to effectively augment and alter the nose without the need for surgery. This treatment is much less invasive than surgical rhinoplasty, with fewer complications, and although not completely permanent, results are expected to last typically between 6-12 months.
Nose Thread Lift can cause slight soreness at the injection site and swelling is normal with bruising on occasion lasting 24-72 hours. 7-10 days healing until final result can be observed.
From 30 minutes.
Avoid smoking, alcohol, hot showers for 6 hours. Avoid pressure over the nose include the use of glasses and sunglasses for 7-10 days.
Between 6-12 months.
Some bruising and swelling.
Minimal pain, local anaesthetic injected to the treatment area.
From £750.
The most common technique, uses fillers to smooth out any bumps on the bridge of the nose to make the profile of the nose straighter. Dermal filler can also be placed at the tip of the nose to lift and create a more feminine shape. Botulinum toxin A can also be injected below the tip of the nose to relax the muscle pulling it down resulting in a lifted tip. More recently PDO threads are being used to lift the tip and straighten the bridge simultaneously. This is a more desired technique for those who want to change the shape of their nose without adding too much volume to their nose.
Depending on which treatment you choose, the longevity is different. Botulinum Toxin A lasts 3-6 months. Dermal fillers last 9-12 months. PDO threads last longer up to 2 years.
The dermal filler and PDO thread results are instant, but allow 1-2 weeks for all swelling to settle for the absolute final result to show.
Swelling and bruising are the main complications. In the hands of a poorly trained injector there is the risk of blockage of the blood vessels which may cause necrosis. Always take extra care when choosing your injector.
You will be given high dose Lidocaine based numbing cream with great potency making the Nose Threadlift treatment relatively painless.
As with all aesthetics treatments, consumption of alcohol should be avoided for 12 hours before and after treatment, the same is said for smoking but for 6 hours. Particular to this treatment, you should avoid any pressure on your nose for 2-3 weeks and that includes avoiding the use of glasses/ sunglasses.
Yes, Nose ThreadLift is very much a lunchtime procedure with only minor side effects which shouldn’t prevent you from going into work.
You will be given a full consultation, where you can discuss the results you want as well as go through any medical or aesthetics history you have. You will then go through to have the treatment. Numbing cream is applied and allowed to take effect over 10-15 minutes. Your doctor will then inject dermal filler, botulinum toxin or PDO threads to achieve the desired result. This usually takes 5-10 minutes. You will have some swelling after the injections. You are therefore encouraged to take arnica tablets (can be purchased at most local drug stores) before and after the treatment.
Dr Saleki is the sweetest and most professional Dr ever! I was really nervous and she completely put me at ease for my fox eye thread lift!
I was a bit nervous, Dr Mahsa was lovely, she couldn’t of been more professional and kind. I had nose threads and the procedure was quick and apart from a bit of discomfort with the anaesthetic, the rest was totally pain free. I am 3 days post treatment and still a bit swollen but other than that everything has been very smooth and I feel fine. I’m excited to see the settled results. Would I recommend, 100% yes.
First time I every had any treatment and it was a brilliant experience, The Dr was very Calm and compassionate and clear. I read about a treatment threading but she said I didn’t need it and suggested fillers and fat dissolving which has work for me, definitely go again even though it took me over 2hours to get there.
