Most of us have experienced the effects of acne upon our skin at some point throughout our lives. Commonly defined as a ‘teen’ problem – acne is, in fact, not. Unfortunately acne can, and often does, present itself at any age and sometimes despairingly without prior indication.
Acne is a long-term skin condition that can have debilitating consequences on self-confidence, take away the freedom to feel oneself and cause potentially damaging effects on mental health, as well as leading to possible scarring. It is usually characterised by the on- gong presence of skin inflammation – either as, or a combination of: spots, blackheads, pimples and nodules making skin feel irritated, tender, sore, dry and/or oily. Acne is not the result of a poor diet or sub-standard skincare regime but can appear through predisposed genetics, hormonal changes or imbalance, stress, anxiety, and even specific ingredients within skincare products and makeup.
Physically, acne is usually caused by the hair follicles becoming blocked by sebum and dead skin cells trapped around the sebaceous glands on the surface of the skin. Bacteria is then unable to escape and can become infected, thus causing the skin lesions we know collectively as symptoms of acne. This can happen anywhere on the body, but is most generally known to affect the face, back, shoulders and chest.
Acne is a condition that can be managed effectively in a number of ways. You may be advised by your GP or dermatologist to tailor your skincare regime specifically or to undergo a course of medication to reduce breakouts and prevent or manage future flare-ups. We often recommend a course of Morpheus8 treatments to improve the appearance of lasting effects of acne upon the skin, such as large pores or scarring, in a way that resurfaces the skin and stimulates the production of collagen.
Medical Grade Skin Care is the perfect addition to your aesthetic treatments here at SAS Aesthetics. The products contain a higher concentration of active ingredients and can penetrate deeper into the skin than over the counter skin care products, meaning the results are longer lasting.
Morpheus 8 is an incredibly transformative fractional skin therapy treatment that achieves dramatic results in renewing and lifting the skin for improved texture, laxity and structure.

Dr Saleki is the sweetest and most professional Dr ever! I was really nervous and she completely put me at ease for my fox eye thread lift!
I was a bit nervous, Dr Mahsa was lovely, she couldn’t of been more professional and kind. I had nose threads and the procedure was quick and apart from a bit of discomfort with the anaesthetic, the rest was totally pain free. I am 3 days post treatment and still a bit swollen but other than that everything has been very smooth and I feel fine. I’m excited to see the settled results. Would I recommend, 100% yes.
First time I every had any treatment and it was a brilliant experience, The Dr was very Calm and compassionate and clear. I read about a treatment threading but she said I didn’t need it and suggested fillers and fat dissolving which has work for me, definitely go again even though it took me over 2hours to get there.

There’s a lot that can be achieved non surgically in the right hands. Festoon treatment is traditionally very tricky. Surgery can sometimes make things worse so it gives me great pleasure to be able to offer a solution that’s effective and minimally invasive.Multiple goals achieved using a single treatment protocol is a by product of great and advanced technology coupled with world class surgical training. Treatments are customised and are appropriate for the majority of patients. If you’d like a personalised plan drop us a DM and a member of the team will get in touch. #nonsurgicaleyelidtightening #laserskintreatmentlondon #festoontreatment

I treat skin every single day. Here is what I wish more women knew before they came to see me.1. The biggest change in your skin after 35 is not at the surface. It is structural. The products on your shelf can support it ,but they cannot rebuild it.2. Most women I see are doing too much. Layering actives that cancel each other out, stripping a barrier that is already struggling. 3. SPF is the most powerful anti-ageing tool you have. Wear it every single day and reapply throughout the day.4. You cannot out-product a poor lifestyle. Sleep, nutrition and movement do more for your skin than anything you can buy.5. Your neck and chest are ageing faster than your face, and most people completely ignore them. Start treating them now.6. Price is not a marker of efficiency. Some of the most clinically proven ingredients cost almost nothing. Most of what you are paying for is marketing.7. Strong actives are not always better. Most skin issues I see come from overuse, not underuse. If something is irritating your skin, it is damaging your barrier.8. Your skin at 40 does not need the same routine it needed at 25. Most people are following advice built for someone half their age.9. A bad previous treatment is harder to fix than doing nothing at all. Choose your practitioner well before you choose your treatment. If you want to know where to start with your skin treatments, a consultation is the best first step.
